Fleeting Fashion chasing success in August 17th Is Ladies Evening Handicap
Fleeting Fashion is tipped to win the August 17th Is Ladies Evening Handicap at Catterick in England on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. The triumphant horse will be given a cash prize of £2,264.
The class-5 event is scheduled to start at 16:10 GMT and a total of 13 runners will be seen in action. A few of them might be withdrawn before the start of action, as the soft ground will not suit their running style. Furthermore, the distance to cover will
be 1 mile, 3 furlongs and 214 yards, which will test the stamina of all participants at the end of the day.
Although Fleeting Fashion lacks the experience compared to some of her rivals, yet there are solid chances of her fighting at the front today. She does not have an impressive strike rate, but the conditions will work in her favour at Catterick. The bookies
have priced her 4 to 1 for the race and the punters should also keep her in consideration.
The three-year-old filly has participated in a total of five events and her performances in them have not been on the positive side. Her winning percentage is also low, as she has only managed to win once.
The Michael Appleby’s trainee made her debut in the sport back in November 2011 and was given a starting price of 66 to 1 back then. This proves that she was not considered to be a contender for victory back then and the judgement of the bookmakers was spot
on, as she finished seventh out of nine runners.
Alhaarth’s daughter took part in one more race that year and was unable to catch the attention of anyone because of her lacklustre show in it. She started off the 2012 season on the same note and struggled to match the speed of her opponents.
However, things finally changed for the young filly, as she impressed one and all in her most recent outing. She was not rated as the favourite to win back then, but still had decent odds of 10 to 1. Her stamina was extremely good, which allowed her to win
by one length and three quarters.
A similar run is expected from Fleeting Fashion, as the soft ground will definitely suit her running style. She will be partnered by Shirley Teasdale in the race today.
