Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darren-Fletcher-c10361 is on course to return to the Red Devils first team next season, should his rehabilitation go according to the way it is planned.
The midfielder was turning into one of the most influential players at United, but last December, his progress was cut short.
Fletcher went on to reveal that he was suffering from ulcerative colitis, which is a chronic bowel condition. As a result , he had no option but to take an extended break from football.
Since then, the player has been on the recovery table, in order to get his physical condition back to a hundred percent.
The twenty eight year old is now scheduled to meet with a number of specialists next month, as he looks to salvage his career.
When Fletcher had gone on to reveal his condition, there were a number of rumours going about, which claimed that he had retired from football for good.
However, he later went on to confirm that he was just taking an extended break, in order for him to try and get his health back and to avoid any long term setbacks.
The Red Devils boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has also admitted that he is hopeful to see Fletcher return to the team in the near future, given the fact that he had turned into one of the most valuable assets at the club.
Alex Ferguson, when talking about the midfielder is reported to have said: "We're hoping he will start pre-season training”
"But we can't assess it because we don't know enough about it.
"Darren's medical people are dealing with it and our doctor has a good idea of the situation but at the moment the boy is doing his best to come back."
At the moment, United’s midfield is rather short on quality players to say the least. This past season, the team’s lack of depth became rather apparent and as a result, almost everyone expects the manager to sign a couple of midfielders in the summers.
Nonetheless, should Fletcher recover in time for the coming season, the United boss is going to have one less player to invest in.
