The Manchester United midfielder has backed the tactician despite Scotland’s poor form in recent games.
Craig Levein has so far failed to deceive after taking charge of the Scottish National Team almost three years ago.
Under the tutelage of the trainer, the Scots have failed to make an impression on the International arena and have lost 8 games since the former Cowdenbeath man took over at the helm.
However, what is most surprising is the fact that the current crop of players are arguably some of the greatest the country has ever produced and should be flourishing instead of struggling against sides such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041.
Levein was in-charge last week when the Welsh, led by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422, tormented the Scottish backline and came out with a win leaving their opponents firmly stranded. The manager’s reputation has come crashing down and reports now claim that the upcoming tie
in Brussels could be his last if he fails to deliver.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darren-Fletcher-c10361, Steven Fletcher and Charlie Adam are just some of the top talents currently in the squad and if they don’t secure three points it could spell the end for Levein, despite the fact that he has the support of the players.
"We are desperate for the performance and the win for the manager because we believe in him as a team, as a group. We've seen the work he puts in, the way he treats the players, the attention to detail that goes into every game. It's a really good set-up
to be involved in and all the players genuinely enjoy being here. He treats us like adults, with respect.”
He also added that the ex-defender formed his tactics after consulting the entire team and that everyone wanted him to continue, although his on-field results were far from perfect.
"We are allowed to voice our opinions but he has the final decision and everyone respects him for that. Hopefully we can get a much-needed victory. The players are fully behind the manager. I don't think we could be better prepared for matches than we are.
I honestly believe that.”
