Fleur De La Vie vying to win Trainers Bar Handicap
Fleur De La Vie is vying to break her maiden by finishing first in the Betfair Sponsors The Owners & Trainers Bar Handicap that will be held today, May 24 at Salisbury racecourse.
The Class 6 contest over the distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs is scheduled to start at 8:20 (GMT). Pursuing the prize cheque worth £2,264, the Ralph Beckett-trained young filly will test her racing credentials against 13 rivals such as Wreaths Of Empire,
Morilles, Welsh Nayber, Curly Come Home, Jennifer J., Dovils Date, Burnham, Ctappers, Zamarelle, Chocolat Chaud, Cheviot Quest, Bathwick Street and Cato Minor.
The three-year-old fantastic filly has run for 5 times since making her debut in August 2011. After finishing 4th in her maiden race, the talented sprinter gained a 5th spot each in two consecutive outings. The brilliant runner finished
as a runner-up in her last start on May 1, 2012.
The maverick daughter of Primary out of Francophilia is determined to make a big impact in the Bar Handicap. If she runs to her utmost and makes an accurate use of her capabilities, she will definitely have up to 90 percent chances to finish first.
However, each one of Burnham and Bathwick Street can give a tough time to Fleur De La Vie.
Burnham marvellously grabbed a runner-up rank in his last outing on May 14, 2012. This outstanding performance has hiked the Hughie Morrison-trained bay colt’s confidence to a great extent. He is also looking to break his maiden via Bar Handicap.
On the other hand, Bathwick Street finished 4th in each of the three consecutive races during August-September 2011. The David Evans-trained gelding also grabbed a runner-up position in his last start on May 11, 2012.
With each one of the runners looking to break his/her maiden, there is likely to be a rip-roaring clash in the Bar Handicap. Fleur De La Vie is required to fight with her back to the wall in order to thrive. The competition will be rip-roaring and nail-biting.
Good luck to all the contestants who are going to sizzle at Salisbury.
