Question:

Flickering ceiling fan light... wiring issue?

The bulbs i put in my bedroom ceiling fan keep flickering and won't stay steady... when i shake the fan and it's parts it flickers more, but won't stay. While messing with the fan, and shifting the whole thing back and forth the electric also went out for a sec. i tried tightening a few different parts of the fan, but it didn't help much at all.

What's wrong and how might I go about fixing it? thanks

  1. I would believe the wiring is loose. Don't do the following if you are at all inexperience with electricty.

Turn off power to the fan. Remove the mounting screws and tighten up the

connecters that connect the fan wires to the house wire. Reinstall the fan.

  2. There's demons in your room. It's a poltergeist

  3. you may have 3 things wrong  First it may be a bad switch or it is a loose neutral  wire in the outlet box or worn out sockets in the fix
