we had a storm a couple days ago, and the power went out for around 2-3 hours, now the lights in our house are flickring, or delayed, and i just walked out of my room, and the city owned light pole in front of my house is doing the same thing.

could it be a transformer around my house?

  1. Could easily be a bad transformer connection.

Whatever is causing it needs a call to the utility co.

  2. yes

  3. there is a loose cable on the supply side of the streets installation, call the supply authority and get them to fix it.

  4. It may not be a transformer,  the lines could just be loose or damaged.  There could also be a tree limb or something rubbing up against the lines.  There could also be a damaged power pole. that would cause the lines to sway and stretch.

You should call your electric company and tell them about your power and the city lights too.
