i just joined, what are some examples of tags for my photos?

Well, it depends on the photo.  For example, if your photos were taken at Christmas, then you would tag them as "Christmas."  If the photos show Steve, then you tag every photo where Steve appears as "Steve."  This allow you to categorize each picture, so that when someone clicks on your tag named "Steve," they will be able to see all the pictures tagged as "Steve," or, if someone clicks on your tag named "Christmas,they will be able to see all the pictures you took (and tagged) at Christmas, and so on.  I hope I was able to be of help.
