  1. Fly tapes (Revenge brand) work pretty well, but you will need to hang it near the light for it to be most effective.

If you have lots of flies, and you don't have screens, you can get the attractant-based traps (found at Wal-Mart for around $5) and hang it outside (after activating it with water).  It has pheromones that bring the flies swarming to it, then they get into it and drown.  They work really well, but claim to have an offensive odor if used inside.  I never had it in the house.  It got so full of flies that it turned black and bulged, but it rained into it too, so a little extra was water.  I wouldn't spend this kind of money for a handful of flies like you have.

There are also fly tapes (clear) that you put on the window, and the flies get stuck to them during the day when it is darker inside than out.  The Brand I have is "Revenge", and it's called "window & screen fly catchers".  They are in the gardening department of Wal-Mart, in small stores, and in the larger Wal-Marts, will be near the soaps--but it's a little pest control section. Oh, and don't forget the plain old fly swatter.  A flat chunk of newspaper will work if you are quick with the arm.  It's surprising what a little physical effort can do when you're really desperate!

    Good luck.

  2. I suggest fly paper strips. Your grocery or hardware store should sell them. They are non-toxic, and inexpensive.
