Flight 29 Down based on book?

I remember in fourth grade, my teacher would read a novel to the class. She read a three book series called "the Island" or something like that.

Here's why I think Flight 29 Down is based on this book:

-group of teenagers

-plane crash on deserted island

-somewhere in Pacific

-a younger, smart kid (Lex)

-they tried making a raft, but did not work

And the names seem to be the same too. While I watch the series, it feels like it came exactly from the book.

Only problem is, I can't find that book. Does anyone else know what book I am talking about?

the front cover showed about 7 teenagers, real people, and on the back is the island...

  1. How long has Flight 29 Down been on TV ?  Because there are books about the series . . . .One is called Ten Rules . . .put this title in the search web tab and a picture of the front cover comes up. . .it may be what you are referring to . . .

  2. Well, if it's flight 29 down there are about seven choices, based on the title:

    #1- Static

    #2- The Seven

    #3- The Return

    #4- The Storm

    #5- Scratch

    #6- On Fire

#7- Ten Rules (this book is about before they crashed on the island; it's like a prequel)

I really can't tell you which book it is because it needs to be a bit more specific, but I'll give you the link:

    Hope I helped. :)
