Just recently I've heard that people who wotk in high altitude have more chance to get cancer or other diseases... is that true?

No - not at all. If this were the case, the health authorities would have announced this a long time back. You heard only rumours.

that has not been proven empirically. however as u know crew r exposed to more radiation so there could be some sort of impact.
