  1. The basic requirement is a high school diploma or GED.  They are looking for people with customer service background and also for a great personality.  You must be a people person, love to travel and can be very flexible with your schedule!!  There are plenty of Flight Attendants out there with a college degree and with just H.S. degree also!

  2. Brent is right, You dont need a college degree, however it might help you get to your 1st or 2nd interview. As for the Customer Service Representative job, I must say they take alot of abuse. You need to be thick skinned, since they get blamed for everything (god Bless them) but you still get all the perks that come with a job with the airlines. However, as a Flight attendant (major airlines) you may find yourself in a city hub far away from home, but then again that might be a good thing.

  3. College just gives a person a better view of everything.  You will become more analytical and be able to think through problems and challenges.  And, if nothing else, the ability to speak intelligently, with a more flowing delivery and not with um's, like's, OK?, and the such.

  4. A college degree is not necessary.  However, the study to become a flight attendant is not necessarily easy.  There are many FAA regulations to learn and be tested on, as well as different procedures and protocol for each different aircraft.
