Frens!

I am planning to fly from Singapore to Utah (USA) at the end of this summer. I want to have my flight from singapore to Toronto (Canada)and stay in Toronto for around 15 days. Then use the same ticket to fly to Utah.

But, some people told that I cannot have more than 24 hours of break in International flights.

Do any of you have an idea if I can take a break of around 15 days?

I would appreicate your suggestions. Thanks in advance :-)

  1. Of course you can. I am flying from Los Angeles to London in a few days, and spending 5 days in Toronto before flying to London.

If you are using a website such as www.orbitz.com on the main page click on the "Expand search options" tab. Then click on the "Multi-City" tab. From there you can list which cities you want to fly to and you can also choose how many days you want to stay there.

    Enjoy.

  2. Yes you can make a stopover however it usually costs more if you are staying longer than the 24hours they allow for fare rules the only way you can find out the cost is to price it out as a round trip and with a 15 day stopover in Toronto. If you do a stopover in Toronto you also may be looking at multiple carriers and that can also raise the cost of the ticket.

  3. it will cost more and best to check with the airline

  4. 24hrs is the limit for a break to be regarded as a layover.  You can stop in Toronto for 15 days but the flight to Canada will be regarded as a separate flight to that from Toronto to Utah.  This combination will probably be more expensive than a straight-through connection.
