Has anyone booked a codeshare flight with airfrance from ireland via Amsterdam?

Flights are actually with KLM and Aerlingus but am going to book with airfrance as it is cheaper.

just a few things i want to know,

flights only have 1hr 40mins between them, is this senough time in amsterdam?

if i check my bags in at dublin will I have to collect them again in amsterdam (maybe not as it is a codeshare i.e on airfrance website I am making just when booking with a stopover* in Amsterdam)?

Will I have to check in again in Amsterdam?

will i have to go through security again in amsterdam?

if i miss my flight in amsterdam will I be allowed travel on the next flight to my destination (kilimanjaro)?

thank you any help appreciated

( I have e-mailed the airline about this but no reply yet)

  1. Sher why don't you just stay in Amsterdam? There's plenty of 'stuff' to do there  ;-)

  2. is it Shiphol airport in Amsterdam ??

that airport is absolutely HUGE! (very easy to get lost!) check out where you are departing from....i suggest contacting the airline or airport, im sure you will have to check in again - but ring the airline

  3. 1hr40 is enough time to find your connecting flight. Times given are runway times, you have to factor in waiting to get out of the plane, that can take up to 20 mins. If there's ANY delay you'll be squeezed. However, if you book straight through the airline must accomodate you. If you're lucky you'll have about 5 mins in a gift shop in the airport, but NOT enough time to see anything - if you want to see Amsterdam you'll need about 6 hours.

  4. Most companies answer their emails within 24 - 48 hours, it would be quicker to phone them
