Flight cancellations??

Question

I am flying into Washington D.C from Portland manie on the 20th and then from Washinton to Aruba. I heard that there has been many cancellations I was wonering if any one thinks i will have any problems?

Are you flying American Airlines?  If so, then you should call ahead.  If not, you should be okay.

I think at the moment it is mainly on the American Airlines line, and specific to MD-80 jets, due to a faulty wiring .

Who knows what they will be doing in a week.

If you are flying American, you could if these planes are still being inspected.

They're only having problems with MD-80s right now. For the DC to Aruba flight, you'll probably be on a 757 or 767 or something other than an MD-80. The flight from Portland Maine may give you some trouble though cuz you'll most likely be on an MD-80 for that short flight.. Check your tickets. Usually they tell you what kind of plane you will be flying on..

Since that is over a week away they should be able to get the planes inspected and their schedule back to normal by then. Check with your airline a day or two before you leave to find out the status of your flight.
