I was looking into different flight schools a few months ago and there seemed to be two large schools that stood out from the rest. One of the schools was atp, the other was a large school I THINK had a location in UT and a few other locations throughout the west. I do believe that school had some diamond twins. What happened too it? I have been looking all over the web and havent been able to find there page again...

  1. Flight Schools come and go at the drop of a hat.  Especially with this wonderful economy and fuel prices.  ATP is a good school.  Embery-Riddle has a campus in AZ if you are looking for more of the college thing.  Flight Saftey is also a good flight school.

  2. The Utah school is my sons school. They just changed their name. They are no longer a college, they are now a bonifide university. It is now called UTAH VALLEY UNIVERSITY and yes they have all diamond single and twin engine aircraft. They will soon be getting the new Diamond jet in their roster as well. He has been able to fly home a few times to California. They also have an on line correspondence course with the same credit as class room attendance, but at your own pace while working full time anywhere in the world. The only difference is you will have to do your flight training at an affiliated flight school like ATP.

UVU will be glad to set up a tour of their campus, all you need to do is call and set one up. They have a varied curriculum not just aviation. They are located 3-4 miles from BYU in Provo, Utah.

Perhaps the name change is why you thought it disappeared. By the way cost of living there is great and Provo is rated to be the safest town in the USA. Average age there is 24, so much of a college town.
