Flight sim 2004?

when flying 747-400 on take off it goes over speed so i reduce the speed but i want to no what speed to be traveling at to have a good climb and prevent over speeding.....

  1. I set the auto trottle to 230 knts. Immediatly after the takeoff I active the autotrottle for void the overspeed, passing 1,0000 ft set to .87 mach...


  2. If it goes overspeed you are not pitching to a high enough deck angle.

  3. Once you take off...and reduce power to climb thrust...use AIRSPEED to determine your rate of climb.

    Meaning=below 10,000' MSL climb at 250KIAS and let your rate of climb settle to what ever it will for for that particular weight...once above 10,000' MSL accelerate to say 290-310 knots and again let your rate of climb settle on what ever value it likes for a particular speed.

    So use PITCH to control airspeed not power.

  4. 300 knots is the perfect speed.
