It's unlikely, but it could happen. Flintoff has already retired from Test cricket, and hasn't played any cricket whatsoever since he had an operation on a knee injury following last year's England Ashes win. And with his mooted return still two months off, he's admitted that there's a "slim possibility" he will never play cricket again, should the knee fail to heal properly - or if he simply cannot make a full return to fitness.
