  1. I gotta go back many many moons ago when I was a teenage punk kid that thought he knew it all for this one. I had the coolest 3 piece pool cue in the world. Really just a 29 dollar piece of junk sold at K mart. But to me it was a balabushka! Well , I let this older kid hustle that cue from me and it tore me up man. Not to mention the wuppin' I got from my grandpa who bought the cue for me. My *** still hurts from that one! Live and learn. C ya Johnny.

  2. The most PO'd I've ever been after a loss had to be when I used to play in a mixed Scotch doubles 8-ball league on two separate occasions with two of my ex-girlfriends.  This is before I learned how to prioritize things and I would be very hard on my girlfriend/partners when they would just suck it up.  I would just become livid when they played like they just didn't care.  I had to learn to the hard way not to expect to do well with your girlfriend on your team.  It probably contributed to the break up of both relationships.  I like to think that I've matured and mellowed out much since those years.  Note to all guys: Do not have your girlfriend as a partner unless she's anywhere near as good a player as you are.  You'll just be asking for trouble on the home front.

  3. The one this weekend against that other girl in the Viking tournament sucked.  I really wanted a chance to play some of the other guys that showed up.  Every man there was TOUGH (for anyone, not just me).  And some were REALLY TOUGH (one local guy named Mike played in the Open last year and lost to Parica 11-9).  I knew I didn't have a chance to get in the money (just being realistic, not negative), but if I'd beaten that girl, I would've gotten a little more experience.  Plus, I wanted to be the top lady finisher ($150-- $50 from Viking, $100 from the owner of the pool room). Maybe next year.

I always enjoy pool, win or lose, but I do take losing hard (when I know I have a chance to win, that is).  I'm extremely competitive in league (to the point that Hubby calls timeouts on me just to tell me to relax and have fun)...but I think because of that, when I do win, I enjoy it all the more.  To sum it up...Pool is fun :)
