  1. Look at the wall as you approach it, and remember how close you are when you flip - and the result of that turn. Every time you go to do a flip turn adjust where you are in relation to the wall before you flip based on your previous turn. Pretty soon, you will see where you need to be.

Don't count strokes - this is a very bad idea. Firstly, you don't see the flags when doing freestyle. Secondly, depending on your energy/adrenaline levels, you will get a different distance per stroke every time, so the amount of strokes you will do during practice will usually be greater than during a 50m. sprint.

  2. Keep swimming until you are about an arm's length away from the wall, then flip and push off. Use your arms to help you flip and make sure to turn over before you break the surface of the water.

  3. First thing to do in Experiment. =]

try swimming from the flags and counting how many strokes it takes to get to the wall. Now take that number, say it's 5, and try 4 strokes, then do the flip. if youy're too close or too far, try adjusting the number.

Really, whether you have a stroke count or not, its about your own judgement on how far or close you are to the wall. If you're wearing goggles, try looking for something that tells you you're close; the T on tehe bottom of the pool, the stairs on the side, etc.

    The key thing is experimenting!!

    Good luck. =]

  4. there is a T at the bottom of all training pools so when u get 2 da T do 1 more stroke nd den turn or measure ur self up cuz if ur taller u might need 2 start 2 turn at the T it depends jst kinda trial nd test wif da T as ur mark
