Hello y'all i live in France and i am going to USA this summer, i was wondering if i could lock my suitcase. I mean, i heard suitcase padlocks were broken by US authorities. My suitcase ( a Delsey) does not have a zipper but you can lock it so you have to open it with keys and buttons. Should i lock it or leave it open?

  1. lock it. I'm pretty sure that customs DOESNT break open bags and rummage through them.... and if they do, I suggest you just buy a cheap lock so you don't take too much of a loss. I believe they scan them so they can see what's in the bag, but they don't physically break it open, although they may. Either way, if you leave it unlocked anyone can get into your bags....

    good luck :-)

  2. Lock your bag... The TSA does not go through your bags all the time. However, if they  have to check your bag and they do check them. The Delsey hard side suitcase's lock is TSA compatible lock

You have a 3-digit combination, which can be overridden with a TSA key.
