Floaters in eyes?

What are some things that could be causing them. I have astigmatism.

  1. It is quite normal to see floaters. They increase with age as the viterous body of the eye shrinks. If you have recently had a large increase then this may mean a detaching retina, so if this is the case an eye exam is in order. Also with a detaching retina one may also see flashing lights.


  2. Get your eyes checked out to be safe.  Floaters can be harmless or a serious thing and only an opthalmologist can determine by looking inside your eye.
