Floating homes in New Orleans?

If Homes in New Orleans could float (like those in Holland)..would we have this problem repeat itself again?

If doing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of insanity..then why are we rebuilding the same thing again?

  1. That is how the bleeding hearts do things.  Logic isn't a prerequisite.

  2. A 5 year old child has enough sense to know that you shouldn't put a house where the ocean is above it, but the liberals of NO are ignorant and just don't want to change

  3. The Mississippi should be rerouted up north to its old channels to the west so that NO can be accessed by a canal. We always take the easy way out. that is why new homes are built on the Florida coast where hurricanes have hit; freeways are built on the San Andreas fault; people build in flood plains all over the country; and we allow houses to be built in volcanic danger zones (Tacoma, WA).

Is this madness; no, people just keep trying to recreate what once was regardless of the consequences. But it is irksome that we repeatedly bail them out.
