If u covered the bottom of your tub with dry ice, and put some kind of simi-big holed grate over all of it, then lied down on the grate, then filled the whole thing with water. would u possibly float due to the sublimation of the ice?

....just wondering

  1. No, not as you describe it.  You would be suffocated by the Carbon Dioxide gas and probably at least pass out.

You might also suffer freeze burns on any exposed skin that came into contact with the dry ice.

If you on the other hand put the dry ice into an inflatable and introduced some water, or just wait long enough, it would inflate and you could float on that... make sure that you dont use too much or have a way to vent excess gas or you may over pressureize it and pop it.

  2. If you can trap the carbon dioxide gas in a container underneath the platform, so it displaces the water, then you probably could float on it if it was big enough.
