Flood Damage...i need advice...thanks all who r willing!!!?

Question

Guys- i live on a farm n indiana and its been n my family for bout 50 years and been standing 4 bout 100 years....so it has much value....4 my family. But in indiana we just had a major flood and it flooded my fully finished basement...because the house was 2 small 4 my family...so we added on the basement and 3 bedrooms. We dnt have flood insurance... because we never dreamed it would get n the house, it never has b4. And idk about anyone else n the world but money is tight 4 my family.....and im trying 2 help out. But i have no idea how 2 find some kind of financial aid or anything. All of us ( neighbors and my family) are n shock this is the worst flood n history....and we were prepared we jst weren't enough i guess. Thanks 2 anyone who can help...its much appriciated!!!

register for the relief fund with the red cross and let it be known at your church of your predicament as they have resources that can be of great assistance to you.

The governor has applied for the area to be considered a federal disaster area. That would allow you to get low interest loans for repair and replacement. Keep track of the value of any losses. At the very least, they will be deductable on your taxes. Not much comfort, I know, but it's something.
