wow, what a day. i live in mitcham, surrey and my road has just flooded in a matter of like half an hour. i have never seen rain like it. We have never been flooded in our area before and its scary to think that there is worst hit areas out there. as cars are driving fown the road the water is splashing and rippling like a tide into peoples gardens and onto their front of house.

I want to hear other peoples stories, what are you seeing?

and as for the thunder lol it sounds like god is beating a drum up there its shaking my windows and doors and cutting out my tv lol.

  1. Hey, i live in surrey new malden and we were so lucky we didn't get flooded all the roads round us did. but there was like rain water leaking in our front porch and a big crack through the middle and i though the ceiling was gona cave in. at the same time my mum was out on the high street and the water was up to your knees. but i think they closed all them roads and Burlington rd. i was home alone and the thunder lightning was so scary. i just turned on my music really load. but i don't think it helped that much. i can't believe how quick it happened. after it stopped the sun was out and everything was like a normal summer day. lol. even my back garden all the grass dried up and this morning is was like a swamp. the weather is so strange.

  2. We have had a lot of rain.  We got lucky at my house in that we haven't had it really bad, just the streams and lakes are up.  At my dad's it is a different story.  The lake crested 22 feet above normal pool stage.  Which means a lot of homes and businesses are completely under water.

  3. Sorry to hear your story, hope it dries up soon!

Just drizzle here in North Wales today, very sunny yesterday, what's wrong with the weather, I blame all those Sputniks!

  4. Hi hope it goes away the weather soon and the damage is not that much,

was terrible a couple a people lost thier lifes people lost there homes, cars a lot a pets drown and wild life too.

we had no warning and i have never seen any rain like that before in my life, it was like something out of the movies.
