Floor theme ideas needed for college dorm!

I'm a resident assistant for 30 female incoming freshmen this fall, and I needed to come up with a floor theme.

To make matters worse, my ex-best friend is also a resident assistant, and she constantly brags to me about how amazing her floor theme will be, but she refuses to tell me what it is. I would love to have a better theme than her, so any ideas would really be appreciated!

I know my freshman year, my RA had a summer theme on our floor.  She didn't put much effort into it (or anything else for that matter), but you could have fun with the idea.  We had paper cut and formed into flip-flops for our names on our doors etc.

My on campus apartment last year had a kind of a road trip theme. Each person in an apartment had a license plate name tag on the door from all over the US.  Different cool tourist traps  and sights to see around the US.  Also had some things in the lobby of local hot spots that not many people are aware of when they move to the area.

A past coworker was an RA last year and ended up doing either an entire Disney or Pixar floor.  Had lots of stuff with Finding Nemo, Toy Story, and other movies.  

Whatever you choose, just be happy with what you do!  Don't worry about the friend issue.  She sounds rather pathetic to have some attention to act that way!  Have fun being an RA!!!!
