Florah Ng topples Rachel Honderich in Women’s Singles semi-final at Yonex Ontario Elite Series
Canada’s elite player Florah Ng proved her mettle on court and landed a title berth after defeating Rachel Honderich in Women’s Singles semi-final at 2013 Yonex Ontario Elite Series on Saturday, January 5, in Toronto.
The in-form Florah, who is the second seeded shuttler in Women’s Singles main round of the tournament, showed her aggression on court and remained successful in crushing her fifth seeded challenger in a dominating manner.
Florah did not show any mercy to her lower ranked compatriot as she played with incredible speed and aggression and managed to end up the semi-final contest in straight games with a comfortable margin in just 37 minutes.
Meanwhile, the fifth seeded Rachel put in her best efforts to stop the aggression of her higher ranked team-mate but she failed to control the affairs in the ending points and bowed down without stealing any set.
Florah showed an amazing aggression on court from the opening points of first set by creating a remarkable pressure on her rival.
Florah was quite comfortable in taking the bird timely and she did not face any complication in executing her shots in right areas.

The second seeded Florah impressed the crowd with her impressive craft that helped her to put pressure on her opponent who failed to produce good form.
Rachel could not put up strong show in the second game of this contest as her rival Florah played better game and bagged the game with a convincing margin of 21-17.
The aggressive Florah remained successful in winning this semi-final encounter in a completely dominating fashion by putting a comfortable 21-16 and 21-17 total on the board.
