Florent Malouda: Barclays Premier League is an open race
The Chelsea winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Florent-Malouda-c13838 insists that the competitive nature of the Barclays Premier League, particularly in the current season, means that any team could win the title.
Chelsea are placed fourth in the table and are three points adrift from the league leaders Manchester United; United though, have a game in hand. Moreover, Carlo Ancelloti and his men are a mere 1 point short of second position holder Arsenal and third position
holder Manchester City.
Chelsea started their current 2010 Barclays Premier League campaign strongly and were the league leaders for almost two months. There was a time when the Blues were 5 points ahead of their title rivals in the table but their recent dip in form has cost them
the top spot and now they are fourth in the Barclays Premier League standings.
Florent Malouda, while talking on the official http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 website stated that the Barclays Premier League is an open race and nothing could be said so early in the season.

Furthermore, the French winger told the website that at the start of the season they were leading the league with a huge margin but now due to the dip in form they are chasing other teams in the top four of the table.
The Chelsea marksman said:
“We have the experience of last year when we ended up winning the league with one point ahead and at this period of the year we not so far ahead. I think it is going to be open because there are more teams involved in the race so I think it is going to be
interesting to the end."
Florent Malouda also believes that the rigors of the World Cup year could have taken a toll on some players, although that sounds more like a really sorry excuse since Malouda himself, didn't even get past the first round of the World Cup with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. The
30-year-old also said that the other teams in the Barclays Premier League have also improved and are now challenging for the top spot in the table.

He added: "We know that the league is the most difficult in the world and there is more competition this year but that doesn't mean the same team won't be on the top at the end. It is more difficult for the players who play the international games but we are
used to that and that is the reason why we come to the top clubs, to play for national sides."

Talking about the recent dip in form of Chelsea, the winger said that Chelsea have one of the most legal attack in the league and their main strength was their defence in the first season. However, Malouda claims that the only reason of this recent poor form
is Chelsea’s weak defence.
Chelsea’s last match against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge was called off due to severe weather conditions in Manchester. However, Chelsea will play their next match against their city rivals, Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Monday.
