Florent Malouda admits frustration at transfer rumours and wants to end his career at Chelsea

Malouda’s contract with the Blues is set to expire at the end of the 2012/13 season and the club has confirmed that no negotiations will be made until the final year of the contract. The Frenchman is terrified by the newspaper reports which suggest that
he will be one of the victims of a mass exodus at the club come the end of the 2010/11 season.
The former Lyon midfielder is inspired by Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs, for his longevity at the club and wants to end his career at Stamford Bridge. Talking to the reporters Malouda said, “I just want to feel I am important at the club. Sometimes
I don’t feel so when I see in the media that the club are thinking of selling me, and I know I’m doing great. I’m 30. I want to be the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 of Chelsea. I want to extend my contract by one year until 2014.”
“The club have been saying that because I am over 30, I have to wait until the last year of my contract to speak about an extension. Questions come into my mind. Do the club want me to say?” added the French international
The 30-year-old added that the club has told him that he is one of their main players and they want to keep him for a long time but the next day rumours pop up that the club wants to sell him. Malouda insists that he gets frustrated by the stories and has
stopped reading the newspapers.
The Blues have had a pretty dismal campaign but Malouda insists that he is still hungry to win trophies with the club. He went on to thank the fans for their support and believes that they have played a huge role in him settling at the club.
Malouda revealed that he faced a lot of problems when he joined the club in 2007 but the coaches have really backed him to become an important player for the squad.
