Chelsea winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Florent-Malouda-c13838 has revealed he intends to remain with the London club despite being linked with a Stamford Bridge exit in the summer transfer window.
After winning the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League this season, Malouda is now aiming to win the UEFA Super Cup against Atletico Madrid in August. The Frenchman insisted he had no desire to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old has been with Chelsea since 2007 and has had his ups and downs with the club, but does not want to leave any time soon. Malouda revealed in his five years at the club he had gone on to win five trophies and was hungry for more.
Malouda said while speaking to reporters:
“In five years at Chelsea, I have won five trophies, the ones that I came here to try and win. During the last two transfer windows, the club have said that I was not available for transfer.”
Even though Malouda has not been used too much in the last two years, the club have refused to make him available for a transfer. The player was determined to prove himself once again for the Blues once the new season started.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international admitted he had not found himself in the starting XI too often, but that had not stopped him from working hard. Malouda revealed he still saw a future with the Blues and was determined to help them win silverware in the future.
He continued:
“I knew at the beginning of the season I would not play all that often. This season has reminded of my first season at Chelsea.
You have to accept it. I finished the previous campaign as Chelsea's leading scorer in the league and I started the next season on the bench.
But I have had to prove myself in the past and always managed to impose myself.”
Since joining Chelsea in 2007, Malouda has done on to make a total of 220 appearances for the Blues, scoring 45 goals and providing 44 assists. In 2009-2010, Malouda was awarded the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 Players’ Player of the Year.
