The Olympique de Marseille youngster has not been able to become a regular starter for Elie Baup’s side in his first season at the Velodrome and could be set for a loan move this winter with Dijon FCO and Ajaccio likely destinations
The imminent arrival of Algerian international, Foued Kadir at the Stade Velodrome means that Florian Raspentino might not be wearing the colours of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 for the remainder of the 2012/2013 campaign.
Since his arrival from FC Nantes in the summer transfer window of this year, the 23-year-old has been unable to establish himself as an integral member of Elie Baup’s side. And with the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Foued-Kadir-c13896, Raspentino will indeed struggle to get ample
opportunities to prove his worth.
Level on points with Paris Saint-Germain and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130, and in contention for Champions League qualification by the end of the season, Les Phoceens coach Elie Baup is unlikely to make huge changes to his squad over the course of the second half
of the campaign which is another reason why a loan move seems to be the best option for the former Nantes midfielder.
The Frenchman needs to look elsewhere in the January transfer window. According to La Provence, Marseille are willing to let the player leave Stade Velodrome in a loan move for the remainder of the campaign.
Stade Brestois have been linked with a move for the Frenchman. The Brest club’s current coach, Landry Chauvin knows all about the young midfielder whom he managed during his sojourn as the manager of FC Nantes.
While talking to reporters regarding a possible move for Raspentino, Chauvin said that he would be willing to have the youngster at his disposal after failing to lure him to Brest earlier this summer.
“We know that he will be able to settle down with us,” says Chauvin.
Meanwhile, Dijon FCO are also monitoring Raspentino’s predicament in Canebiere. The Cote d’Or club’s president, Olivier Delcourt is also interested in signing the midfielder and claims that the club will be able to give him ample opportunities to showcase
his talents.
“Our interest in him is not just a rumour. There have always been contacts (with the player’s entourage). Now, we would love to have him here but it is not clear whether he will come or not. He is not a starting XI member of the club yet, he plays less.”
