The young forward from FC Nantes is eagerly waiting for Olympique de Marseille to make an official bid for him in the summer transfer window
Things have changed drastically for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 in recent times. Mired in financial troubles, Les Phoceens will not be able to invest heavily on new players in the near future. Already, the club is set to let go of a host of players in order to
reduce the burden on the payroll.
Their financial plight means that Marseille are now looking to secure bargain deals for free agents or Ligue 2 players. One of those players is young Florian Raspintino. The 23-year-old is now a free agent after his deal expired with FC Nantes and is widely
considered as one of the greatest hopes of French football.
The youngster had a great season with Nantes in Ligue 2 and is courted from all sides. The likes of OGC Nice, Stade Brestois and Italian Serie A side Udinese are keeping tabs on the talented forward which means that Raspintino could be spoilt for choice
very soon.
However, it is Olympique de Marseille where the player’s heart lies. Making a move to the Canebiere club is the youngster’s priority. While talking to media, Raspintino said that he would love to play for Les Phoceens and is waiting for the club’s management
to make a concrete offer for him.
“I am interested, this is the club in my heart. If the Olympian club makes a concrete offer, we will have a head start. There has been positive first contact, we will see things more clearly soon,” said Raspintino while talking to La Provence.
The player’s statements should be reassuring for Marseille who are in dire need of fresh blood for next season.
The 2010 champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 need to take action quickly on the player as there are a lot of clubs who want to take action of Raspintino’s case. With so much competition, Vincent Labrune and co cannot risk pondering too much over a player who has proven
himself to be a great asset for Nantes and could do the same for Marseille.
