Florida, GPS Navigation, Adhesive dashboard disc?

Is there a new law in Florida where you must use an Adhesive dashboard disc to stick your sat nav on the dashboard instead of using the mounting device? anyone know?

I don't know if Florida has such a law yet, but you don't have to use adhesive to mount your GPS receiver.  Garmin makes friction mounts that have weights on them and a grippy rubbery surface on the bottom that keep the unit stationary on your dashboard.  They work well; I have one.
