Peter Mueller, a professional ice hockey player from America, who is currently associated with the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL), is very eager to start playing hockey once again and hopes that the NHL lockout ends soon.
The player is said to be working very hard nowadays and according to reports, he has not missed even a single day of training. Mueller is trying his best to keep himself fit and in form but he is forced to keep himself out of action because of the NHL lockout.
The 24 year old player, who previously represented Colorado Avalanche in the NHL, is yet to make his NHL debut for the Panthers and still has to get off the mark for them. He joined the team in the July but no Hockey has been played since then but still
the player is pretty hopeful that time is not away when he would be playing for them.
It has almost been three months since the NHL lockout but the player tells that he was ready to go when he joined the new team and could not wait to get his chance but he has been waiting for last three months for the opportunity to come. He said,
“It’s tough. I came in here ready to go”.
The forward who plays as a winger and few times also plays as a centre, tells that he was feeling very well when he came and this was one of his best feelings since his debut year. Even though he has been made to wait so much but still he is hopeful that
the deal between the NHL and NHL Players’ Association would be done very soon, as he said,
“This is the best I’ve felt since my rookie year. It’s kind of tough to stand here right now. We’re putting in all the work and not seeing the return of it. That’s tough. But I’m optimistic. I’m hoping something gets done real soon.”
Since being picked in the first round of the 2006 NHL Draft, selected at 8th, Mueller has impressed everyone with his game and he has been one of the most consistent young players in the league.
