Florida Panthers plays host to Philadelphia Flyers in the fourth and final meeting between them
Florida Panthers will be playing host at the HSBC Arena as they are up against Philadelphia Flyers.
This will be the fourth and final meeting between the two teams during the course of the season.
Flyers are leading the series by 2-1 and will be hoping to wrap up with another win this time out.
The first saw Flyers coming up with an easy 5-2 win but the second game was totally dominated by Panthers and they thrashed the opposition to win the game by 5-0.
The most recent meeting between the two teams saw Flyers coming up with a decent performance which saw them winning the game by 4-2.
Flyers had, at one stage, a game in hand and were level on points with the league leaders, Vancouver Canucks.
Now they are among some of the worst teams in the league which has seen them fall 10 points behind the league leaders. Things are getting tough for Flyers and they have lost their form in the last few games.
Flyers were piling up consecutive wins when they faced Panthers last time out. However, after that they have managed to win only five games in regulation time, lost five games and scored a point in four.
Flyers’ offence is good but their failure at the back has hurt them a lot.
In their last game against Atlanta Thrashers this Saturday, they were leading 3-0. However, they allowed goals in the final period to take the game into overtime where they lost by 5-4 in the end.
"The frustrating part is that it has been going on now for most of the year," Briere said. "It seems like we can't lock up games. A lot of times we're able to over-compensate because we can score a lot of goals and somehow find a way to get another one.
But we're losing tight games. I don't know how to explain it. It's something we have to fix before the playoff run."
Flyers have played 68 games during the course of the season out of which they have won 42 games in regulation time and seven games in overtime to score a total of 91 points.
On the other hand, Panthers have played 69 games during the season out of which they have won 28 games in regulation time and nine games in overtime to score a total of 65 points.
Florida Panthers are in no hurry for the game to start as they are having problems of their own.
They face the huge set back of not being able to score goals. However, they still have an outside chance of making it into the playoffs for which they need to win.
Panthers have a chance of doing it as Flyers are going through some tough times but it is going to be hard for sure.
