Florida Panthers plays host to Toronto Maple Leafs in the fourth and final meeting between them

Another one of Thursday’s game will be hosted by Florida Panthers as they play host to Toronto Maple Leafs.
This will be the fourth and the final meeting between the two teams during the course of the season.
Out of the three meetings that have taken place between the two teams during the course of the season, both teams won a game apiece but the third game saw Maple Leafs managing to win the game by 4-3 in a shootout.
Maple Leafs are continuing their surge to the top half of the Conference and if they continue to do what they have been doing, then they can very well make their way into the cut.
Though they were totally outshot in their last game against Carolina Hurricanes, they managed to win the game by 3-2 in the end.
Panthers, on the other hand, were going through some decent times until recently when there was a drop in their form.
They lost their last game against Philadelphia Flyers by 3-2.
Maple Leafs was constantly conceding goals and their defence was allowing players to go through them every now and then. There was a lot of pressure put on goalkeeper, James Reimer, to drop him.
This was after the goalkeeper, according to many, brought a very disappointing result for the team as they lost 6-2 against Tampa Bay Lightning.
Maple Leafs are at the 10th spot and need to score points if they are to keep hopes of a playoff cut this time out alive.
"If I don't play Reimer, I'm an idiot, so let's leave that rest," Wilson said. "Reims isn't tired -- he's going to have some nights where he's not as good as he is on other nights. That's like everyone in this League."
Maple Leafs have played 71 games during the course of the season out which they have won 31 games in regulation time and 10 games in regulation time to score 72 points.
On the other hand, Panthers have played 70 games during the course of the season out of which they have won 28 games in regulation time and nine games in overtime to score a total of 65 points.
Panthers have been struggling and their hopes of making it into the play-off this time are not looking good.
This will be the 10th consecutive time that they will miss the play-offs.
Flyers faced Panthers in their last game and even though they led 2-1 at the end of one period but still they couldn’t stop Flyers from winning the game in the end.
"You're not going to play mistake-free," Panthers' coach, Peter DeBoer, said. "No one likes that we're not winning but you can't deny they're giving an effort out there. That's all a coach can ask."
