Florida Panthers plays host to the Chicago Blackhawks in their first meting of the total two this season
The Florida Panthers playing host to the defending champions, Chicago Blackhawks will be another one of the important games of Tuesday.
This will be the first of the two meetings due to take place between the two teams during the course of the season.
The last time these two met was during the course of the last season when they faced each other twice each other as well.
Panthers won the first game 4-3 while the Hawks managed to come up with an amazing performance in the next game to win 4-0 in the end.
After a tough start to the season, the Hawks are finally looking like a championship contender with the recent brilliant performances they have bagged.
Hawks was developed into a championship winning team by Dale Tallon who is now the general manager of the Panthers.
The White House invited the Hawks and celebrated their Stanley Cup win last season this Friday.
Though the Hawks were at a stage where they would miss the play-off but they managed to pick themselves up and pile up eight straight wins which has put them in a very good position.
They are among the top teams in the Western Conference and if they continue what they have been doing so far then expect them to move further up.
The Hawks have a very good chance of showing what they are capable as after the game with the Panthers they will be facing the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Washington Capitals. The Hawks are getting by each passing game and their offence is getting better
which has seen them scoring 20 goals in their last four games.
Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane lead the pack notching up important points as the Hawks continue their surge to the top of the league table.
They are in good shape ahead of the game and have a very strong chance of winning which would level them on points with the San Jose Sharks who are third in the Western Conference.
The Panthers have played 66 games during the course of the season out of which they have won 26 games regulation time, nine games in overtime to score a total of 61 points.
Hawks on the other hand have played 66 games out which they have won 37 games in regulation time and six games overtime to score a total of 80 points.
The Panthers are in the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference and traded many players. The Panthers are looking at the bigger picture in future. They had been very active during the course of the trade deadline as they brought in players.
The Coach says that he wants a team to top the Conference and win the Stanley Cup rather than being knocked out of the play-offs. For that they need to rebuild which is under way.
Certainly the Panthers are getting better already. But a win here would give them a lot of boost as they look to move up the table.
