I am already taking one class [Latin] and I'm going to be taking more in a while.

I was wondering, what are your thoughts and opinions on the school? [please only answer if you've gone, or will be going, or are going] thanks:]

  1. My daughter is in FLVS, and there are good and bad points. Sometimes they don't teach everything you need to really know (for tests, etc) and some teachers do not call back right away. If you do all of the work they ask you to do it can be pretty time consuming. Some good things are that you can resubmit assignments, work at your own pace, anytime and any place, and it's free. My daughter really liked her Honors Econ class, American Gov, Business class, and English 1 honors. She found the math harder because she likes to learn in person with math. She also didn't care for earth space science, and she thought Latin was hard online because sometimes the assesments didn't really pertain to the material taught in class. She did manage an A and to make the National Latin Honor Society. Her teacher was great. English 2 Honors was easy for her. She is now taking Geometry. Her GPA on FLVS is a 4.0 which backs up her at home GPA. A word of advice with FLVS: Do NOT take more than 4 classes at once. My daughter says do not take more than two if you have home classes/studies too.
