hi guys im planning a trip next april to florida for six weeks with the wife and kids, weve been a couple of times before and done all the parks and driven to places like tampa, daytona, space coast area but have always stayed in a villa in kissimee area, but our plans are to start in orlando and drive down the east coast staying in different hotels then spend a little time in the keys then up into the everglades then back up the west coast and back into orlando for the last week,i actually did this with my parents when i was younger and it was amazing especially in the keys, they was so different to the likes of orlando area!,anyway can anyone give me a rough price what an half decent hotel room would cost to stay in,i remember last time we went the hotels on the 192 were advertising really cheap prices for staying the week?

  1. It depends on what you think is cheap and what you think is half way decent. You can get a Howard Johnson for around $59.00. Or you can go to the Universal resorts for a couple hundred dollars. I mean, you can totally find hotels for around $30, but they are probably worth that $30 dollars, if you know what I mean. (not real luxurious, not especially neat and tidy). I reccommend chain hotels like Days Inn and Howard Johnson. You can find them pretty cheap and they will have a pool and probably a breakfast. I dont really reccommend anything thats not a chain hotel besides the Disney and Universal resorts.

  2. well i visit the orlando area every year and for a half decent room i find you'll pay about $70 per night. if you can find coupon books near the hotel you want to stay in it may save you about 5-10 bucks per night. catch with using coupons is most hotels will not allow you to give them 1 coupon and give you a cheaper rate for the whole time you are staying  there. they will only count that coupon for 1 night so if you do go the coupon route you need to pick up enough coupons to give the place 1 for each night that you are staying.

yeah it kinda sucks but if you can save a few bucks i'd do it.

  3. You can try hotel search in http://www.AmericaCheapHotels.com where you can read hotel details, reviews and comments, see photos and its physical locations through maps, details about important nearby locations ....

Best thing is you can compare the USA/worldwide hotel prices in any city in any country in your local currency.

You can find good deals because this compares hotel prices from 30 best travel websites.

You can even able to filter out hotel by its features such as Star hotels,Business Center, Room Service, High-speed Internet, Fitness Room, Restaurant Parking, Swimming pool, Pets Allowed, Airport shuttle, Handicap Accessible, Concierge ...

Access lots of USA and worldwide travel information.

  4. I was recommended a hotel called Seralago Hotel, the pictures look amazing, and has a movie theater, pool and lots of features. The price I got was $49p/n. Which seems like a good price to me.

  5. You will be able to find hotels in all different price ranges around the Orlando area.  Instead of hotels in that area consider renting a vacation house... www.homesneardisney.com ...this will allow you somewhere to rest your head, but have a full kitchen saving a little bit of money on food.  At least for the beginning of your trip.  I don't know if your trip allows for it, but my family did the same thing when I was younger.  We started at WDW went through Tampa, Alligator Alley and Lion Country Safari before returning to WDW for a few more days of Mickey Mouse before the long drive back to Illinois.  It was a lot of fun, and I hope to be able to do it again.

Consider enrolling in Wyndham Rewards, they offer points towards free nights when staying at Ramada, Days Inn, Super 8, Wingate by Wyndham, Baymont Inns & Suites, Howard Johnson, Travelodge, Knights Inn, and AmeriHost Inn.  That could save you some $$ and there should be some of these hotels in most areas you are wanting to stop at.

My one other suggestion is to check out KOA Kampgrounds.  Many offer cabins you can reserve like a hotel and stay in.  They tend to be cheaper ($50/night in San Antonio vs $135/night in a hotel -- I use San Antonio because I am going for Labor Day) and will allow you to have little campfires, and use their facilites most have pools and some have mini-golf etc.  Some have kitchens, too, but not all have a bathroom in them, making you have to walk to a community restroom.  Not far, but an inconvenience if you have small children, or people with small bladders causing you to get up in the middle of the night and accompany them.

Have fun, and I hope this helps.

  6. I visited Florida last month to party. The hotel I stayed at was OK, but I wouldn't stay there again. I found a list of hotels in Florida here: http://www.hotelroomfinder.org/Florida-H... I'm sure you can find a hotel to call and help get you situated.

I hate Oklahoma, maybe I should move to Florida...

  7. Comfort Inn & Suites are pretty nice rooms for their prices.  They're pretty affordable.

Some Days Inn I've stayed at are really nice.

It all just depends on the area and, usually, how new the hotel is.

Other hotels that are more on the expensive side, but still not too bad are any of the Marriot ones- Fairfield Inn, Springhill Suites, etc.  There are also some Drurry hotels in the southern states areas.  They are very nice.  I stay there whenever I can.
