Florida law for dating, etc?

I just recently turned 18 years old.

My boyfriend (who i just started going out with) is 16.

I was wondering if i could get in trouble legally with that.

i've heard things like the 16/24 law and other things that say if the person is under 18, i could still get in trouble.

so basically, i just want to know the REAL answer and if i actually could legally get into trouble for dating a 16 year old.

  1. 1. There is no law against it.

    2. Even if the parents try and get you in trouble they can't because the relationship is mutual.

Good luck. I hope you guys have a happy relationship =]

  2. There is no law that covers dating.

Also, in Florida it is illegal for some one 24 or over to have sexual relations with someone that is 16 or 17. Since you are under 24, you would be okay.
