Florida license?

Okay, So I am 18 and I didnt get my permit. I was just waiting until I turned 18 to get my actual license. Since iw ould be a first time driver, even though it would be with my license, would I still have to take the drug and alcohol test?

I went to the website and it says that it is required for first time drivers, but i think it was talking about a person getting their permit.

You can't simply get your license unless you complete drug and alcohol course and pass DMV test.To earn an operator's license, you must be at least 16 years old AND have held a learner's license for at least one year without any traffic convictions. For more details visit http://www.tlsae-course.com
