I have a one year old i've been brushing his teeth and gum since he was born and recently was asked about if I flouride in his toothpaste. I was told he can't have flouride in his toothpaste cause he might swallow too much. so should I be giving him flouride water or drops? I have heard that your not supposed to if our water from the faucet has flouride but I only let him drink bottled water.

So Should he be getting flouride drops or something like that?

  1. http://www.wholywater.com/fluoride.html

    google toxic fluoride

  2. actually hes fine w/drinking sink water now, if your comphy because bottled water (due to the plastic, you can search online on how harmful plastics are now) is harmful supposidly, they talked about it all over the news. more so than sink water.

anyways you should wait till his first dentist apt. @ two, or when all his teeth come in, before you go to flouride tooth paste. its fine w/out the flouride, h**l lose all his baby teeth anyways, and the main purpose for infant toothpaste is to keep your little ones gums strong and healthy, and to clean up their teeth a bit.

    well, hope i helped.

oh yeah toothpaste has a lot more flouride in it in a pea size than in a glass of water or even more.

  3. I would use a babys toothpaste which is flouride free.

Or have a talk with your dentist he will know the best answer...
