  1. Freebord is you're looking for something to really give you that snowboard ride, and Flowboard if you're looking to buy a gift for your kid. Freebords are more dangerous and is a real hardcore sport (snowboarding on pavement- including the ability to catch an edge and the works) while flowboarding is more like an unstable longboard that wobbles at high speeds.

But if it's for a kid, they're much less likely to hurt themselves on a flowboard as they wont be able to get up to as high of speeds and can can just jump on and go (dont have to learn how to ride it, like you do a freebord) so they're more likely to enjoy it if they're not wanting to get into anything too serious.

Once you learn how to use your freebord, you will have way more control than you would on any regular longboard. You can stop quick, turn on a dime, speed check, hop over bumps cracks and curbs.... did I mention it's impossible to get a speed wobble on it too?

It's hard to compare a freebord and a flowboard because they're in two very different catagories in my opinion- ones a toy and ones a sport that you have to actually learn (but man is it worth it!)
