Flower drying.?

does anyone know how to dry out flowers before they actually die and fall apart.

  1. press them in a book with some lemon juice or hang them upside down in your window.


  2. Go to a local craft supply store and get you some flower drying kits.  They contain a container and silica gel or "beads."  You pour half the silica in the bottom of the container, individually place the flowers ontop the silica without touching each other and pour more silica on top completely covering each flower.  Put in microwave uncovered at 1 minute intervals for whichever flower you have.  Usually somewhere between 2-3 minutes.  Make sure theres no metal on the flowers.

    or you can just buy the gel and use an old container.

  4. Just half way through flowering put them between telephone books which will also absorb moisture. They will last for months like this.
