i like the hibiscus becuause they ae a sign of the tropics, but can be grown anywhere. the pettier ones are topical and are evergreen, but their are also temperate hibiscus that die to the ground and come up the next year.

the flowers are also huge some the size of full sized dinner plates and also come in many colors

I would have to say gerbera daisy. Well that was before I started my gardening, now i have a new a favorite flower every few weeks of whatever is in bloom. They are all very beautiful and can't just pick one.
