Flowering in 5 weeks??

Question

live in ireland wedding in 5 weeks ( 30th sept) need the garden to look amazing for photos/ visitors.. can anyone recomment flowering herbaceous/ shrubs or anything that will give colour and the wow effect to the garden thanks!

As it's so near the end of the season, I'd be inclined to go for mass plantings of miniature crysanthamums or asters, they're the best for Autumn colour.  Don't plant tall vaieties though, they tend to look straggely - and you must plant in large clumps.

i would love to be able to sit and go through what you need with you, but i think in such a short time scale i think your best answer would be to go to your local garden centre.

ask them for advice explaining what it is for and at the same time you see the plants in front of you and you can decide yourself.

after all everybodys tastes are very different: so you can get exactly what you want
