Floyd Mayweather: Pacquiao not the sharpest knife in the drawer – Boxing News
It seems like Floyd Mayweather is not yet over with his comments on Manny Pacquiao. Even though Pacquiao has filed a suit over Floyd and Roger Mayweather’s accusations, Floyd still carries on with making Manny’s life miserable. This time, Floyd went onto
say Manny is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Believe it or not, fans are not really excited about Mayweather fighting Cotto and Pacquiao fighting Bradley. A lot of fans of both the camps are still demanding a match between Mayweather and Pacquiao and it seems like it is on the cards for November, but
nothing is for sure.
Last week, Manny revealed what he felt about talking to Floyd to Mayweather. This time it was Mayweather who revealed his thoughts regarding Manny’s stature. He iterated, “Just by speaking to Pacquiao on the phone, I mean, he’s not one of the sharpest knives
in the drawer. He faces Floyd Mayweather, he’s not getting 50-50. Not at all. No one is getting 50-50.” He further said, “Bob Arum likes to match Top Rank fighters with Top Rank fights. He keeps all the money in house.”
On insisting that he wants to fight Pacquiao only for his fans, he said, “If I’m scared and I’m a coward, why do you guys want to see me fight? Do I want the Pacquiao fight? Absolutely. But it’s going to be hard to make the fight because Arum is worried
about getting money.”
Bob Arum, Hall of Fame promoter for Manny Pacquiao, last week said that he would try his level best to get a match between Mayweather and Pacquiao by November. However, he said that it is nearly impossible for the fight to take place considering the current
circumstances. Manny and Floyd Mayweather are both highly furious over each other. Floyd and his uncle Roger Mayweather recently accused Manny of using steroids for which Pacquiao has filed a suit against them.  Similarly, Floyd Mayweather also threw harsh
racism comments on Pacquiao which made the latter furious. With all this going on, it seems like their bout is nearly impossible. However, both the fighters are highly attentive to their fans and if the demand grows even more they will definitely step in the
ring together.
