Floyd Mayweather Sr.: Pacquiao does not deserve bigger share against my son – Boxing News
While Manny Pacquiao has maintained that he and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are on the same level, the unbeaten American pugilist and his father are of a different view. According to Floyd Mayweather Sr., his son has maintained an unbeaten streak to date whereas
Pacquiao has not, which means his son is a bigger fighter than Manny.
He added, “Really, Floyd is the one that’s undefeated, he ain’t got no losses on his record. Period! Pacquiao got a couple of losses and draws. So I’m just saying that little Floyd shouldn’t have to have no negotiations about who’s going to get what. It
should already be settled because there shouldn’t be no thing about him (Pacquiao) getting something bigger than Little Floyd, because he ain’t bigger than Little Floyd right now! He lost a couple of fights and he’s got a couple of draws. So he ain’t the man!
Little Floyd is the man! That's the man to beat.”
Pacquiao currently stands with 54 wins, 3 losses and 2 draws, along with 38 knockouts, whereas Floyd Mayweather stands with 43 unbeaten fights. A bout between both the pugilists have been in demand since the last two years. However, both of them have been
unable to reach a point of agreement to date. Initially, Mayweather demanded Pacquiao to undergo random drug testing, an offer the Filipino fighter rejected. However, Pacquiao says that now he is ready to undergo any drug tests Mayweather wants him to through.
On the other hand, Mayweather stands by his words that he should get the bigger share of the fight, again an offer Manny rejected. Earlier this year, both the fighters were in communication to arrange a bout for May 5. Mayweather offered Pacquiao $40 million
flat while he wanted to keep the pay-per-view proceedings of the show. However, Manny rejected the call saying he felt ‘embarrassed’. According to Manny, both the fighters should get equal share, or at least he should get a better offer.
Right now, nothing is sure as to whether both of them will ever enter ring against each other or not in the future.
