Floyd Mayweather Sr. scared for Little Floyd's life against Pacman, thinks Amir Khan taking PEDs too
Though Floyd Mayweather Sr. has long hung up the gloves, he threw a lot of punches on a recent edition of On the Ropes Boxing Radio.
Aside from being at a loss to account for the tremendous skills of the “littlest man in boxing,” Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather suggested that his son Mayweather Jr. should avoid fighting "Pacman," mainly due to the little man's alleged involvement with performance
enhancing drugs.
Team Mayweather has long held that the only way for Pacquiao to have made the professional leaps he has is through the use of banned substances.
In his latest interview, Mayweather Sr. suggested drug use is so clear for Pacquiao, “a blind man could see it.”
Pacquiao, 31, has defeated the likes of Oscar De la Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, and Antonio Margarito, all of whom were naturally heavier than him.
Mayweather said: “if I was my son, I would have reasons for not fighting that man [Pacquiao].  He continued primarily as a father: “my concern is for my son’s protection.  If my son’s fighting that little man, I’m concerned about my son’s life.”
An increasingly bombastic tone made it difficult to determine Mayweather's sincerity and whether he was serious with regards to Pacquiao or exaggerating claims made about him.
The legendary trainer was also asked about WBA junior welterweight king Amir Khan, who has a December 11 contest with mandatory challenger Marcos Maidana.
Asked who would win between Khan and Pacquiao, Mayweather said: “Amir Khan would get the sh** beat out of him."
"That’s another thing. They’re from the same camp now. So whatever they’re doing, all of them could be doing it or whatever," Mayweather said referring to drug use.
Pacquiao and Khan sparred together before Pacquiao's last fight.  Both are trained by legendary trainer Freddie Roach.
