Floyd Mayweather blasting hbo of racism. does he have a point?

No, they're not racist, ESPECIALLY in regards to Pavlik and Manny, as those are two great fighters, and I am sure everyone  will agree that they deserve little, if any, criticism. I am surprised to hear such words come out of Mayweather's mouth.The only racism I have noticed in boxing is that black boxers almost ALWAYS get booed in fights, no matter who they are, but that has nothing to do with HBO, thats just boxing.  MAYWEATHER may get criticized for his pickiness, money-loving, hot-headed ways, but not black boxers in general. They seem relatively unbiased, but now that he has mentioned it, I may pay a little more attention to HBO fights to see if he has a point, as Mayweather doesn't seem like the type of person who would "cry racism."

I wouldn't go far enough to say that HBO is racist because some of the greatest fighters on their network have been African Americans and minority's. However when he complained that they are bias I can believe that. For example every few years HBO gets a young prospect usually from the most recent Olympics and they fall in love with them. After the 2000 games Jermain Taylor became the HBO man of choice. They put Jermain on the Boxing After Dark and showed him very often claiming he was " The Future of the Middle Weight Division" . In his first PPV and with about 25 fights he takes on Bernard Hopkins and doesn't beat him convincingly but gets the decision. After he defended his Title and wasn't as impressive as had been anticipated and then that's why the criticism came. He wasn't what they had thought he was and then they trashed him. Before Jermain Taylor lost to Pavlik he fought on HBO every couple months now Kelly beats him and HBO hasn't said his name one single time he cant even get a fight on HBO.

Cotto vs Gomez or Oscar dela Hoya vs Steve Forbes now look how much attention these fights got on HBO. Nobody Critized Miguel Cotto for fight Alfonzo Gomez who didnt have a "snowballs chance in h**l" in a fight that had no signifance in the divison. Then  Oscar dela Hoya fights Steve Forbes in what was basically a paid sparring session with a countdown show and its ok nobody cares the anouncers even talk about how good Oscar looked even camparing him to his days back in the earyl 2000's. Now we all know Gomez and Forbes were bascilly sitting ducks guys that were paid to get beat up on TV and HBO will play it and make it seam to be ok.

NOW ASK YOUR SELF A REAL QUESIOTION IF FLOYD MAYWEATHER FOUGHT ALFONSO GOMEZ OR STEVE FORBES IN A FIGHT THAT HAD NO SIGNIFINACE WOULD IT HAVE BEEN OK OR WOULD THEY HAVE TRASHED HIM ?

I think that what he said was unfair, Pavlik has earned his spot at the top he beat everyone placed in front of him and did it convincingly, his fights with taylor were very entertaining and over all i think he deserves all the recognition he gets,as far as manny is concerned no one can touch him right now he has earned his place in the hall of fame, three of his fights are considered boxing classics and his performance is impressive, i don't think that Floyd's assessment of these fighters was fair.He should have known better.
